Number of CCD through the Customs of Khabarovsk Territory in 2009 decreased by 42%

The number of cargo customs declaration (CCD), drew up by Vanino Customs (Khabarovsk Territory) in 2009 compared with last year decreased by 42%, while the number of participants engaged in foreign trade declined by 33%. In 2009 Vaninsky Customs has drawn up and registered 3761 cargo customs declarations, the customs office the press-service reports.

The turnover in value terms through Vanino customs this year has grown up to $1 billion 318 million, the report reads. In quantity terms 4.316.000 tons of cargo (99,8% of them export cargoes) have been cleared. As of now the Customs has transferred to the federal budget 9 billion 794 million 74 thousand rubles.

The Customs office said it had targeted several promising directions for the customs point at Vanino Seaport next years. One of objectives will be the turnover of alumina and aluminum through the check point. Recently, OAO Rosneft has begun transshipping its export oil products through the port. Bulk Cargo Terminal for transshipment of coal will be operating with a design capacity at 12 million tones per year. According to available information, the Customs authorities said, the Terminal could have handled the above mentioned volume next year (5 million tons this year), provided sufficient the railways transport capacity. If it happens that would promise a hard job for the customs point next year due to expected increase of ship calls at the port, and the volume of cargoes to be checked and cleared, the Customs said.
