The agreement was signed in the corporate cooperation framework since the both companies are part of the Universal Cargo Logistics Holding, as well as the Volga Shipping Company.
The RSD 44 project ships are river going 5.380-dwt bulk carries of power engine capacity rated 2160 KW. The vessels are meant to replace old Volga-Don type ships. Given the tight deadlines for the construction of 10 vessels (the last ship to be transferred to the customer before the end of 2012), hull parts of for 2-3 vessels will be manufactured at the Nevsky Shipyard.
