Qingdao port's box volume up 25.6 pc in the first 11 months

East China's Qingdao port moves 10.98 million TEU in the first 11 months, up 25.6 per cent year on year, reports Xinhua.
The port's cargo throughput grew 10.6 per cent to 329 million tonnes during the same period. In November, it moved 1.08 million TEU and 30.21 million tonnes.
In 2009, the port's cargo throughput ranked the world's top seven to 315 million tonnes and its container volume stood in the world's top ninth place to 10.26 million TEU. Qingdao port expected to move 350 million tonnes of cargo and 12 million TEU through 2010.
