Cargo throughput of the port of Temryuk decreased by 7,4% in Jan-Dec, 2010 from the same period of 2009, to 2,11 million tons, PortNews reports citing the Port Authority.
Exports flow during the period shrank by 18.2% to 1,63 million tons, while imports surged by 2,2 times to 242 tons. The port handled 723 vessels, 9.3% more than a year earlier.
Temryuk seaport is located on the Taman shore of the Azov Sea. The port has equipped berths of total length of 1200 meters. The port handles primarily general cargoes, round timber, lumber, metal, bulked cargo and food. In 2009, the port’s cargo throughput rose by 8.2% year-over-year to 2.1 million tons.
