Three executives assumed new responsibilities.
Thomas (Tom) Pirie, vice president, will assume responsibility for all trade management functions and will continue to report to Pump.
As a result of the reorganization, Frank Larkin, senior vice president, will assume an advisory role for an interim period and later this year will be leaving the company “to pursue other opportunities, with the regrets of the board of directors of Hamburg Sud,” the company said in its announcement.
The company said Larkin greatly contributed to the growth of Hamburg Sud in North America in terms of volume, revenue and market share. “The board sincerely thanks him for his leadership and dedication to the company over the last 10 years and wishes him well in his future endeavors,” it said.
The German liner company said it is taking these measures to better align the management structure of Hamburg Sud North America with the company's other regions worldwide and to streamline commercial functions.
