Exports via Vysotsky Coal Terminal down by 19.7% to 2,3m tons

The volume of coal exports handled at a terminal of Port Vysotsky LLC dropped in 2010 by 19.7%, compared with the 2009’s figure, to 2,3 million tons, the stevedore company’s press-service said.

In December of 2010, the terminal’s coal throughput totaled 180,100 tons.

For three recent years, the company has been upgrading its berths, dredging harbor and approach channel, not suspending transshipment of coal exports. In December 2010 the dredging project was completed, enabling the port to accommodate 45,000dwt vessels with maximum draft of up to 11.9 m.

Port of Vysotsk is located in Vyborg Bay. The stevedore company Port Vysotsky LLC specializes in the transshipment of Russian coal exports to Western Europe.
