Rosneft eyes entering Asia-Pacific bunkering market
Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft plans to create a bunkering company in Singapore to enter the Asia-Pacific region, PortNews reports citing a source in the company. The date of formation of Rosneft Marine Singapore Ltd. is still to be determined.
OAO Rosneft allocated bunkering business as a separate division in 2008. By 2010, RN-Bunker Ltd. entered the bunker markets of ten major seaports of Russia. To date, the company has its branches in Nakhodka, Vladivostok, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, St. Petersburg, Tuapse, Samara, Rostov and Astrakhan.
