He explained that the ship was heading for the berths № 17-18 of OJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port for unloading. The master requested this morning the NCSP Fleet’s dispatcher to provide tug service, but received a negative answer without explanation. "Now the ship is at anchor of Novorossiysk harbor”, says Yuri Karapuzov. “As we do not have alternatives to tugs of NCSP Fleet, we’ll have to wait until next morning and again will request tugs”.
The vessels of such size are not allowed overnight berthing. Therefore, the ZIM boxship’s downtime will make up at least 24 hours.
Mr. Karapuzov added the boxship was going to purchase bunker fuel from the company Trans Oil Service, which is not included in the NCSP Fleet.

JSC NCSP Fleet has in leasing 15 ships from Rosmorport, 44 vessels and various specialized units from JSC NCSP. NCSP Fleet owns nine vessels. NCSP Fleet covers 95% of the market of towing and mooring services at the port of Novorossiysk.
