As PortNews reported yesterday, the containership failed to start mooring from 2:00pm (MT) at the port of Novorossiysk since NCSP Fleet dispatcher refused to provide tugs service.
Mr. Karapuzov said the ship had to ride at anchor of Novorossiysk harbor overnight as there was no other company that could provide towing service. “The day’s downtime may cost for the company about 20,000 euros," he said.
According to ZIM Russia’s General Director the boxship will be refueled at Novorossiysk port by Trans Oil Service, which is not part of NCSP Fleet. ZIM is not going to change this time the bunker supplier, Mr. Karapuzov said.

NCSP Fleet is a largest private marine barges and tugs operator in Russia. The company provides bunkering services, and scores of other port services. JSC NCSP Fleet currently operates a fleet of 68 vessels including 27 tugboats, seven bunker tankers, a specialized fire-fighting vessel, small passenger boats, supply vessels and other specialized ships. JSC NCSP Fleet has in leasing 15 ships from Rosmorport, 44 vessels and various specialized units from JSC NCSP. NCSP Fleet owns nine vessels. NCSP Fleet controls 95% of the market of towing and mooring services at the port of Novorossiysk.
