Container volume of FESCO’s Far Eastern terminals rise to some 339,000TEUs
Container throughput of Far terminals owned by FESCO Group in 2010 amounted to nearly 339,000 TEUs, Sergey Generalov, FESCO’s President said in an interview with PortNews.
"Given our strategic plans for the development of container handling in Vladivostok, including the construction of the terminal ‘Russian Troika’, we expect that this figure will be at 600,000-650,000 TEUs a year in the period of 2015-2017," Mr. Generalov said.
The railroad would hardly be able to carry the volume of containers from the region, without substantial upgrading of the regional transport hub.
