Singapore-flagged tanker sinks off Indonesia
A Singapore-registered tanker sank off the Indonesian island of Bintan on Thursday afternoon, Seatrade-asia reports.
The asphalt tanker AB9 started listing at 15-10hrs while on off the east of Bintan on Thursday and sank at 17-00hrs, the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore said. The vessel owned by AB1 Shipping was bound from Singapore to Sumbawa, Indonesia.
The Indonesian navy was reported to have rescued the crew of 14 Thai nationals.
