Crude exports via Belokamenka FSO in 2010 unchanged

The volume of exported crude oil through a floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) Belokamenka in 2010 reached 7,5 million tons, which corresponds to the previous year’s figures. In the reporting period the facility offloaded oil onto 18 shuttle-tankers and 72 export crude carriers, reports the press service of CJSC Rosnefteflot (operator of FSO).

"2010 was a stable and trouble-free year for the company," said the director of Belokamenka FSO Nikolai Artemov.

According to Rosnefteflot, the FSO’s safe and trouble-free operation remains to be a priority for the operator. Rosnefteflot’s three new tugs (Kapitan Avdukov, Kapitan Popov, Kapitan Reutov) provided mooring of crude oil tankers.

In 2010, the company in conjunction with the Murmansk Basin Emergency and Rescue Department (BASU) established on the west coast of the Kola Bay an OSR base, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment enabling emergency response teams effectively locate and eliminate possible oil spill.

In 2011, Belokamenka FSO LLC, FGUP MBASU, Eco Service Ltd., Russia’s Emergencies Ministry, Murmansk Port Authority and other organizations plan to conduct large-scale OSR drills.

CJSC Rosnefteflot is a majority owned subsidiary of Rosneft and the Group Sovcomflot. The company has operated successfully on the Russian market since 1998. Today, Rosnefteflot operates 25 multipurpose vessels through the company’s business units across the country: Nakhodka, Kholmsk, Murmansk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, etc. The fleet of Rosnefteflot meets the technical, operational performance and environmental safety requirements. The company operates at the port of Murmansk Belocamenka FSO, the country's largest floating storage and offloading vessel of deadweight of about 360,000 tons.
