Evergreen Line is to link up with MOL for a slot-charter agreement on a service between Asia and south-east Africa, ifw-net reports.
Evergreen will join the weekly Mozambique Zuid Africa Express (MZX) service on 11 August.
The MZX service is operated by five ships on a 35-day transit route. The port rotation is Tanjung Pelepas–Singapore–Port Louis–Durban–Maputo–Tanjung Pelepas.
Evergreen said joining the MZX would enhance the shipping network around the Indian Ocean islands by extending service to the markets in south-east African landlocked countries.
