Port of Qinzhou's half-year box volume increases 47.7pc to 161,000 TEU

The Port of Qinzhou, in southwest China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, lifted 161,000 TEU during the first six months of this year, marking a robust increase of 47.7 per cent year on year, Shipping Online reports.

The port's cargo throughput in this period surged 58.2 per cent to 22.39 million tonnes, according to Xinhua's report. The port said rapid growth was a result of its effort in market expansion and higher operational efficiency.
