Yang Ming, Wan Hai-Interasia offer weekly direct Japan-Indonesia service
TAIWAN's second-largest container shipping company, Yang Ming, now provides weekly Japan-Indonesia service via Taiwan working with Wan Hai unit, Interasia Line, Shippingazette reported.
The service will use four vessels of 1,500 TEU capacity with Yang Ming providing one of 1,560 TEU, the Jin Yun He. This vessel on charter from Cosco will replace Wan Hai's 1,200-TEU ship due for re-delivery at end of charter. The three other vessels will be the 1,510-TEU Cape Norviega, the 1,510-TEU Cape Negro and the 1,451-TEU Arisara.
The port rotation for the Kanto Java/JTI service that started August 30, is Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Surabaya, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Xiamen and back to Nagoya.
The trip will take a total of 28 days, which allows customers to use Kaohsiung as a transit point to ship cargo elsewhere, reported Taipei's China Times.
