Sinotrans, Yang Ming sign co-operation deal
Chinese freight forwarding and express delivery company Sinotrans has signed a pact with Taiwan's Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp to expand their cooperation in the logistics and transportation businesses in China and other emerging Asian markets, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
The Hong Kong-listed company said in a statement the companies will expand their cooperation in areas including freight-forwarding and yard businesses, logistics in China, and liner services in the Yangtze river, Pearl river as well as in other Asian regions.
The pact is aimed at helping the companies tap growth in the Chinese logistics and transportation market and to meet customers' supply chain management requirements, the statement said.
