Indonesia energy firm to invest in Buana Listya
Indonesian oil and gas firm Benakat Petroleum Energy is eyeing a 10% stake in Buana Listya Tama, owner of oil tankers and FPSO units, Seatrade Asia online reports. Benakat is setting aside some IDR300bn ($35.1m) for the potential investment set to be completed by this year.
Buana Listya is the listed Indonesian business of Singapore-listed chemical tankers operator Berlian Laju Tanker.
Benakat intends to use proceeds raised from its initial public offering to pay for the shares of Buana Listya.
Buana Listya owns three tankers and an FPSO, according to its website.
