Vladivostok port handles 26.5ths tons of export grain
FESCO Group’s Commercial Sea Port of Vladivostok (CPV) handled for the eight month period of this year 26.5 million tons of grain cargo. The company resumed handling operation after Russian government lifted grain exports ban, the Group said.
In August, the stevedore company transshipped from railcars onto ships, handling 5,635,210 t/day,19,429,700 tons of grain cargo, including 15,617,800 tons intended for export and 3,811,900 tons of coastal traffic.
Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok (OJSC CPV), part of FESCO Transport Group, operates at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest Russian seaports in the Far East. CPV is the only company that enables grain exports, imports and short sea shipping. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront with 17 berths, including terminals for handling grain, containers, imported cars and a passenger terminal. In 2010, CPV’s cargo throughput rose year-over-year by 11% to 6.9 million tons.
