Technip wins installation contract from Maersk Oil in UK North Sea
France-based Technip has secured an installation contract worth about EUR40m from Maersk Oil for the Gryphon Area Reinstatement Programme (GARP) in the UK North Sea.
The company will install 15 dynamic risers, two dynamic and two static umbilicals, 11 flexible flowlines as well as subsea equipment.
The contract, which is scheduled to be completed in 2012, will be executed by Technip's operating center in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The GARP project aims at reinstating the subsea infrastructure of the Gryphon field which production was stopped following damages occurred during a storm early in 2011.
