Guangxi's Beibu Gulf port to built a 'dry port' in City of Hechi
Southeast China's Beibu Gulf port cluster in Guangxi Autonomous Region is cooperating with the government of the region's hinterland City of Hechi on building a "dry port", Shippingazette reported.
A "dry port" refers to a facility set up by a port in a hinterland city to offer one stop service for local shippers to attract transshipments.
The facility is planned to cover 400,000 square metres and take up 200 hectares, entailing an investment of CNY2.5 billion (US$391.2 million). The project will be developed in three phases and fully completed in five years.
