Wan Hai, Interasia Lines to launch new Asian service
Wan Hai Lines and Interasia Lines will jointly launch a Japan, South China, Singapore and Malaysia direct service commencing on September 11, Seatrade Asia online reports. The new service, known as NS3, will deploy three 1,800 TEU vessels with two operated by WHL and one by IAL. The service will run on a 21 days basis with rotation being Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Hong Kong, Tokyo.
The NS3 is Wan Hai’s existing service with three 1,200 TEU vessels. With the joint venture with Interasia Lines, the vessel capacity will be increased to 1,800 TEUs. Both partners are confident that the upsized service will cater to customers’ increasing demand for space.
