STX Pan Ocean gets $510m loan
STX Pan Ocean received a $510m loan from Export-Import Bank of Korea and eight overseas financiers, Seatrade Asia online reports. The South Korean shipping line inked the deal last Friday to get the funds needed to pay for 16 of the 20 vessels it will deploy for service starting next year. STX Pan Ocean said it expects to secure financing for the remaining four ships.
Apart from Export-Import Bank of Korea, the lenders include China Development Bank, ABN Amro Bank, DnB NOR Bank, Deutsche Schiffsbank, BNP Paribas, ING Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Credit Industriel et Commercial.
