Russian coal exports up 10.9% in Jan-Aug to 71.50 million tons

Coal exports from Russia in January-August 2011 grew by 10.9% compared with the same period last year, to 71.50 million tons, the Russian Ministry of Energy said.

In August, coal exports volume also rose 10.6% to 9,216,000 tons.

Coal production in January-August 2011 grew by 2.3% to 212,23 million tons.
