Shipments of products produced by JSC EuroChem through the seaports of Russia and Europe will total 23.3 million tons by 2016-2017, the Company’s logistics said on Monday.
Eurochem’s Igor Nechayev told the IV International Conference "St. Petersburg - the Sea Capital of Russia. Transport and Transit Potential” that the company will export through the port of Murmansk about 3 million tons of cargo a year, 2.3 million will be shipped via the port of Tuapse, the port of Ust-Luga will handle 7 million tons, Taman port - 10 million tons and the Estonian port of Sillamae - 1 million tons.
As of now, the company plans to boost production of potash and fertilizer up to 9 million tons a year, which will increase exports volume.
Eurochem would be willing to invest in port infrastructure and in its own warehouse logistics, not to have delays fertilizer shipments.
"We have already discussed with Russian Railways investment in the acquisition of our own rolling stock, as well as the possibility of movement of our trains on schedule", said Mr. Nechaev.
EuroChem is Russia’s largest mineral fertilizer producer and ranks among the top three European and top ten global producers of fertilizer.
