Singapore voted world's third best cruise port
British cruisers have voted Singapore as their third favourite port destination, according to a survey by commissioned by the Passenger Shipping Association (PSA), Today online reports.
New York ranked first on the poll with 20 per cent of cruisers saying it was their favourite stop-off. Venice followed with 13 per cent and Barcelona, Rome and Singapore completed the top five with 7 per cent of the votes each.
Ms Christina Siaw, CEO of Singapore Cruise Centre, said: "The throughput of British cruise passengers to Singapore has increased by 40 per cent over the past two years. With the doubling of capacity in Singapore next year and some new initiatives that we have launched recently, we hope to attract more cruise passengers from all over the world."
