NCC Logistics box volume grows to 2640 TEUs
Since July this year, over 30 container trains of NCC Logistics, a National Container Company’s rail operator, have moved 2640 TEUs, the company said.
In Jul-Aug, the operator’s nine container trains hauled on the St. Petersburg-Moscow route 641 TEUs. The shuttle train FCT - Logistika Terminal has made 23 trips carrying 1999 TEUs.
"Since commissioning of Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT), NCC L will expand its routes, commencing container shipments from ULCT,” the company said.
National Container Company (NCC) - the largest in Russian operator of container terminals, which occupies a leading position in the market of stevedoring services. IAC's strategy is aimed at creating an infrastructure for handling containers, meeting the organic growth of container traffic in Russia.
Network NCC terminals includes First Container Terminal (FCT), Ust-Luga Container Terminal (Leningrad region) and a rear container terminal and logistics center of Logistics Terminal (Shushary, St. Petersburg). In 2010, the turnover of container terminals running the NCC has exceeded 1.3 million TEUs.
NCC Logistics is the official rail operator of NCC Group. The company’s strategy is aimed to match the growing demand for cargo shipping from St. Petersburg port. NCC Logistics offers its clients ranged services, “door-to-door” deliveries by railroad and trucks.
