Crude exports through De-Kastri terminal reach 43 million tons
Since 2006, when the facility was launched, more than 460 crude oil shipments of a total volume of 43 million tons have been handled at De-Kastri Oil Terminal, SCF Group said Tuesday.
Sovcomflot is engaged in shipping of export oil from the terminal jointly with Exxon Neftegas Ltd., the facility owner and operator of Sakhalin-1 project.
De-Kastri Oil Terminal is located in Ulchi region of Khabarovsk Krai near the village of De-Kastri. The crude oil is exported from the "Sakhalin-1" project’s deposit via a subsea loading line to a Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility, which is located 5.7 kilometers east of the Klykov Peninsula in the Chikhacheva Bay. Then the cargo is shipped by Sovcomflot’s ice-class Aframax tankers. The tanker design was developed by ExxonMobil Corporation in conjunction with the Norwegian Det Norske Veritas and Korean’s Hyundai Heavy Industries with the assistance of Russian specialists of Sovcomflot.
