Yusen and NYK complete European logistics merger
Yusen Logistics is launching in Germany by uniting NYK Logistics (Deutschland) and Yusen Air & Sea Service (YAS) into a new logistics provider, Ifw-net reports.
The move into Germany is the final phase of a European integration strategy that began with Poland and Hungary at the start of the year.
Integration is already complete in in Russia, Spain, the Benelux, Czech Republic, Italy, the UK and France.
Yusen Logistics said by merging NYK’s global logistics network with YAS’s established air freight business, it could provide a one-stop shop offering visibility of all stages of the supply chain.
Alex Okamoto, MD of Yusen Logistics Europe, said: “It is incredibly exciting to see our company now fully launched in Europe.
“We are confident Yusen Logistics will be a major player in the European market.”
