Rosterminalugol coal exports reaches 8 million tons
Cargo throughput of Rosterminalugol based in Ust-Luga since the beginning of 2011 as of September 26, 2011 has reached 8 million tons, the stevedore company reported.
The eight millionth ton of coal was loaded toady to the Key Guardian bulker, the report said.
JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Port of Ust-Luga. The terminal’s projected annual capacity is 8 million tons of coal. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal. The company also provides insurance services for goods and property, the risks of transactions at Ust-Luga port. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters and depth of 14 meters. The terminal can handle vessels with length of 240 m and breadth of 32.2 m. In 2010, coal exports from the terminal rose nearly 6% to 7.5 million tons.
