Southwest China's port of Guigang, which is said to be largest river port in China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, handled 59,565 TEU from January to August, a 30.4 percent growth from a year earlier, Xinhua reports.
In the same period, the port's throughput increased 12.7 per cent to 27.3 million tonnes. Waterway cargo climbed 32.5 per cent to 43.9 million tonnes with a 33.2 per cent higher turnover of 20.3 billion tonnes per kilometer.
