Customs eyes relocation of posts in Big Port St. Petersburg

The Customs Service plans to relocated customs posts in Big Port St. Petersburg, the FCS’ North West Customs Directorate told PortNews.

Now the Baltic Customs has conducted a series of preparatory measures to change the locations of the customs post “Gavan” (to be shifted to a new place in early 2012), Turukhtan and Central customs checkpoints.

The Baltic Customs currently includes six customs posts: Turukhtan, Lesnoy Port, Gavan, Kronstadt, Central and Pushkin. Besides, the Customs authorities, streamlining its posts operations, plan to create a new customs post – “Passenger Port St. Petersburg”.
