Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to reconsider tariffs of merchant shipping agreement

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will reconsider tariffs within intergovernmental agreement on merchant shipping agreement, Fineko/abc.az reports.

Kazakh Ambassador in Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov has reported that " National Maritime Shipping Company Kazakh Sea Trans Fleet " and Azerbaijan State Caspian Maritime Company will discuss renewed tariffs of trade shipping.

" Within the agreement both structures will coordinate new tariffs in working order",- S. Primbetov said.

The intergovernmental agreement on merchant shipping agreement was first signed in 2007 and was recently prolonged. The agreement aims at regulating of legal relations in sea shipment  sphere. In particular contracting parties agree on equal access to the ports of both countries , freedom of handling vessels, recognition of identification documents, issued by the sides’ competent bodies, assisting in rescue of other side’s vessels.

The agreement was signed within Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Kazakhstan.
