Intra-Asia operator Namsung Shipping of Korea is about to place a new order for three 1,850 teu containerships at an unspecified South Korean yard, Seatrade Asia Online reports. ?The newbuilding boxships are planned to operate in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand with delivery scheduled by the first half of 2013. ?Namsung has opted for 1,850 teu sized ships, as it is the largest possible of entering Bangkok port. Currently Namsung operates ships in the region of 1,000 teu capacity in Southeast Asian trades.
