Port of Vladivostok YTD cargo volume totals 6.76 mln tons
The volume of cargo transshipped at the terminals of Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV, part of Transport Group FESCO) in January-December 15th, 2011 has reached 6,760,000 tons, representing 100% of the annual plan of the stevedore company, CPV’s press service said.
Year-to-date volume of dry bulk, liquid bulk, timber, other general cargoes, metals handled by CPV totaled 3,132,000 tons. Container traffic during the reporting period amounted to 403,234 TEUs. The company expects this year’s cargo throughout to reach 6,300,000 tons.
Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok, member of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest Russian seaports in the Far East. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront with 17 berths, including terminals for handling grain, containers, imported cars and a passenger terminal. In 2010, CPV’s cargo traffic rose year-over-year by 11% to 6.9 million tons. This year, the eleven-month cargo volume handled by the stevedore shrank by 10.4% from a year earlier, to 5.8 million tons.
