Traffic at Russian seaports to top 530m tons - RosMorRechFlot
Cargo traffic at Russian seaports by this year end may amount to 530-535 million tons, Rosmorrechflot official said.
Speaking at the meeting of the Board of Directors of Russia’s Association of Commercial Sea Ports the head of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) Alexander Davydenko said that annual throughput of the country’s ports could increase year-over-year by 0.7% - 1.7%.
According to the executive director of ASOP Serik Zhusupov, St. Petersburg-based Petrolesport container terminal has demonstrated a 42-percent surge in boxes volume, while exports volume handled by coal terminals at the ports of Vysotsk and Vostochny rose by 38% and 20%, respectively.
