Located in the Delta Silicon II Industrial Estate in Lippo Cikarang, Bekasi, the 32,000 m2 facility has more than 18,000 m2 of indoor and 2,400 m2 of outdoor dedicated storage space.
Around 35% of the total premises is used as open space for greenery and water absorption, and the facility incorporates eco-friendly features such as skylights to minimise the need for electric lights during the day, natural and mechanical ventilation systems to save energy, glass wool in the roof construction to reduce heat into the space below, and a number of other construction details that support energy management and water conservation.
Construction began on the new €3 million facility in March this year. According to Rahim Tahir, managing director of DHL Exel Supply Chain, Indonesia, this is one of DHL Exel Supply Chain's largest facilities in Indonesia.
DHL Exel Supply Chain Indonesia currently operates more than fifteen facilities throughout Indonesia with more than 100,000 m2 of warehouse area largely located in the Jabotabek district.
