Transpoint International Oy may double Finnish export to Russia within two years – Managing Director

Transpoint International Oy may double export of Finnish goods to Russia within two years, PortNews IAA journalist learnt from Mr. Kari Voutilainen, Managing Director of Transpoint International Oy at a press-tour Logistics and Logistical Service arranged by Finnfacts. According to Mr. Voutilainen, Transpoint International exports about 100 trucks of Finnish goods to Russia every week. Export accounts for 95% of Finnish transportation to Russia with only 5% falling on transit cargo (mainly electronics). “ We had more transit operations in the past but now we have focused on export of Finnish goods”, - сообщил Воутилайнен.

Transpoint International Oy is a subsidiary of Pohjolan Liikenne Group, 100% of which is owned by Finnish Railways (VR Group Ltd) – a 100-pct government company.  Transpoint International focuses on international transportation by road. The company has its own network of offices in all Baltic countries, Poland, CzechRepublic, Slovakia, Hungary. In the nearest future we plan to open our offices in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and hope to expand our activities to the Mediterranean.
