AECOM wins $149-million port project in Doha, Qatar

ACM, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has been awarded a six-year, $149.3 million contract to provide program management services to the New Doha Port project in Qatar.
Undertaken by the Government of Qatar, the US$7-billion construction value port project is currently the world's largest "greenfield" port-development project. The project is intended to better position Qatar to benefit from the expected regional growth in container and vehicle carrier traffic as well as general cargo traffic.
"This exciting project to develop a new port facility in support of the rapidly growing economy and infrastructure of the Middle East provides an excellent example of how AECOM is able to leverage our global expertise and presence to serve our clients," said John M.
