In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the port operator said it had suffered a 7.9 per cent decline in cargo volume in October compared to the same month the previous year to handle a total of 4.744 million tons of cargo last month.
In the first 10 months of the year, the company handled a total of 54.11 million tons of cargo, up 9.5 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year. From January to September, container throughput rose 2.6 per cent to 5.157 million TEU.
