Agility expands in Hungary

Agility recently officially inaugurated new facilities at its new logistics centre in Budapest.
The opening of the centre is another milestone in Agility's expansion into the Central and Eastern European markets, which has lately seen the start of operations in Austria, Slovenia and Poland.
With its well-developed road network and central position within the Eastern European region, Hungary is an important gateway between Eastern and Western Europe.
Agility's custom-built facility is situated in the Budapest Intermodal Logistics Centre (BILK), which is the most modern logistics project of Hungary and CEE. The site is located near all significant transportation junctions and facilities, with a direct link to the new Budapest M0 ring motorway and connections to the MÁV (Hungarian State Railways) central container railway terminal, Ferihegy Airport, and the Freeport of Budapest-Csepel waterway.
Agility's logistics centre covers 15,000 m2 of warehouse space, offering 22,000 pallet positions and 850 m2 dedicated to value added operations. The site's security systems and procedures include 24/7 manned coverage, remote alarm monitoring, electronic access control and digital CCTV.
There is also an on-site customs office, speeding up custom clearance procedures and inspections.
