Three vessels blown away during typhoon Haikui
Although various precautions have been taken by shipyards and ports before Typhoon Haikui arrived, three vessels have been blown away during the largest typhoon to hit Zhejiang Province yesterday, SinoShipNews reports.
A 57000dwt bulker, a 300000dwt VLCC in Zhoushan Cosco Shipyard, and a 120000dwt bulker in Longshan Shipyard were blown away. In order to prevent more damage, Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration sent two high-power tug boat to search for the missing vessels.
Currently all the three vessels has been located and two of them has been retrieved.
