  Port of Odessa handles the 8th car carrier

  

  Odessa Commercial Sea Port (OCSP) on August 20, 2012 handled the Malta-flagged M/V SEA AMAZON (length - 134 m). The port’s stevedores have unloaded 651 imported cars of Hyundai Motor Company from the ship, the Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure reported. The total weight of the cargo was 1,112 tons.  

  This is the eighth visit in 2012 of a Ro-Ro vessel to the port. Overall, the port has offloaded so far 5093 vehicles. The terminal for handling imported autos was commissioned on 1 September 2009 with the first call of a car carrier on February 15, 2010.
