Bohai Ferry eyes international market

The leading domestic passenger roro vessel operator, Bohai Ferry, which is mainly engaged in domestic routes in the northern Bohai Bay area, is now eyeing international routes, SinoShipNews reports.
“Currently, we are in negotiation with a South Korean company to set up a jv and expand our international business. The preparation of the establishment of the jv is in progress, we expect to set it up by the end of this year,” an official from Bohai Ferry told SinoShip News. “Then, we will provide some international routes services, especially to Korea,” the official added.
Bohai Ferry plans to issue no more than 101m A shares this Thursday. The raised funds are expected to update its two passenger roro vessels, pay bank loans and supplement capital flow.
