"I believe that the state of the Sanko's revenue and expenditure will improve even more as a result of this agreement with WFS," Asafuji said.
According to the statement, WFS is the major marine fuels supply company of Sanko Line.
Sanko Link filed for Bankruptcy and appointed a new CEO on July 2, 2012 with liabilities amounting to $1.95 billion or 155.8 billion yen and subsequently filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy protection in the U.S..
WFS, who were reported to be owed $3.3 million in unpaid bunkers by Sanko Line, then arrested their bulker Iyo Wind in Corpus Christi, Texas, for an unpaid bunker bill of $341,634.
WFS subsequently released the vessel.
