Vostochnaya Stevedore Co. takes care of railcars
All cars that depart the territory of LLC Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company are in full working condition with no defects, the company said in a statement. At least, there have been no complains so far from the rolling stock owners.
Coal handling at the terminal of VSC is a specially equipped yard, which includes three rail lines of capacity of 91 railcars. Coal is unloaded by clamshell bucket cranes at near-dock yard of one of the berths. The discharge procedure and technology have been confirmed by representatives of the Nakhodka-Vostochnaya station and found to be in compliance with the requirements of Russian Railways (RZD).
The VSC terminal started coal handling, after the facility has been certified by an official representative of the Nakhodka-Vostochnaya.
Besides, the terminal has had agreements with the owners of the rolling stock, who gave permission for unloading coal from gondolas utilizing grab technology. To date, the percentage of damaged cars does not exceed the average of those of other coal terminals that also operated apply grab cranes, the company statement said.
Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) is the largest terminal on the Far East. The Company is ranked fifth among largest stevedoring company in Russia. VSC operates on the territory encompassing 72 hectares, four berths of total length of 1284 m, berths depth - 13.5 m and two near-dock railyards of capacity of 266 rail cars.
