Prime Shipping beefs up its tanker fleet (photo release)
Prime Shipping Company expanded its fleet with two tankers. On August 24, 2012 the tanker Assia arrived in the Port of Rostov after its first sailing from Indonesia. The vessel transported the palm oil and palm olein cargo to Odessa.
The tanker has a class KM * Ice1 R2-RSN AUT3 Oil / Chemical tanker type 2 (ESP), DWT – 7,334, draft - 4.65 m. The tanker is powered by twin WARTSILA W6L20 1,200kW propulsion systems.. The vessel is utilized for transportation of 6 types of cargo.
On August 24, 2012, the second tanker Kora completed its maiden voyage, from the port of Khabarovsk to the port of Sovetskaya Gavan. The vessel was loaded with diesel fuel. The tanker has a class KM * Ice1 R2-RSN AUT3 Oil / Chemical tanker type 2 (ESP), DWT – 7,447, draft - 4.65 m, 2 WARTSILA W6L20 1200kW propulsion units. The ship is designed to carry two types of cargo.
