Net income of shipbuilding firm Almaz for the first half of 2012 grew (Russian Accounting Standards) by 3.9% year-on-year, to RUB 44.75 million, the company said in a statement.
Revenue for the same period soared by 1.6 times to RUB 2.7 billion.
OJSC Shipbuilding Company Almaz is based in St. Petersburg downtown on Petrovsky Island, near the Gulf of Finland. Modern slipways enable the firm to perform a full cycle of construction in the shipbuilding hall before a ship launching. The company also has facilities for repair and conversion of ships.
