Total Marine Fuels to supply low sulfur fuel in Singapore
Bunker supplier Total Marine Fuels has announced that from September 2012 it will start supplying Low-Sulphur 380 cSt bunker fuel in Singapore, Ship & Bunker reports.
The firm says it is confident of becoming "a key supplier to the growing demand of low-sulphur fuel oil and low-sulphur gas oil in Singapore."
"Moving forward, we welcome all spot and term enquiries with regards for bunker supply of low-sulphur fuel oil and low-sulphur gas oil," Total Marine Fuels said.
Fuel with a maximum sulfur content of 1.00% weight has recently seen increased demand following the August 1, 2012 introduction of the North American Emission Control Area (ECA) meaning all ships operating within 200 nautical miles of the U.S. and Canada coastline must use such a fuel.
