Port State Control officers checked 27 river vessels
During the first day of the Port State Control regulations on Russia’s inland waterways, which entered into force as of August 30, officers have inspected 27 vessels, the Ministry of Transportation said.
The inspectors found 70 violations of mandatory requirements, and three vessels were detained in connection with serious disabilities (a cargo ship, a dumb barge and a tugboat). 16 passenger boats inspected by officers had 13 inconsistencies with mandatory requirements.
