SUEK has no plans to join Kolsky coal terminal project
Coal Company "SUEK" does not plan to participate in the construction of a coal terminal on the west coast of the Kola Bay, Alexander Masko, newly appointed CEO of Murmansk Commercial Seaport (MCSP) said. The stevedore company head, who previously had held senior positions at SUEK, said that MCSP will invest more in handling equipment and technology upgrade, in saving jobs to increase cargo throughput.
At the same time, the Murmansk branch of Russian Railways is able to move only 14-16 million tons of coal a year.
